I’ll keep this post short. Should have wrote down better notes when I did this hike three years ago in 2018 but I hope the trip video and photo gallery speaks for itself. Nevertheless, it was awesome to see the familiar valleys and famous peaks of the Jungfrau region again.
I didn’t follow strictly the route described in the Cicerone guidebook but combined with relaxed, day walk type of hiking, overnighting several nights in the Lauterbrunnen valley. Wilderswil campsite worked as my base camp before and after the hike. The campsite is just 3-4km walk from Interlaken railway stations if not reaching Wilderswil by train. Taking the cog mountain train up to Schynige Platte was a really wonderful experience, too, and a perfect start for the journey to the mountains.
