The English edition of Alone Through the Alps, from Lake Geneva to Nice on the GR5

If the Amazon Kindle publishing platform won’t give any surprising problems, the English edition of my GR5 book will be available soon. It’ll be published first only as an eBook but who knows if creating a paperback copy later on.

And fear not about my English, after my initial translation, I’ve got superb help from a native English-speaker and avid long-distance hiker for copyediting the book!

Remember, it’s not a guidebook but a detailed and lively written travel story of my own GR5 hike which, I hope, will inspire people to explore the magnificient mountain range of the Alps, and not to be afraid of tackling a true Alpine crossing. Stay tuned!

  2. Hi Anti
Looking forward to the book. I am writing up my log book from my walk along the GR5 from Lac Leman to Menton last August 2015. Your You Tube film was a great help as was your camping guide so thanks for both of these.
It was a fantastic trip and apart from some very wet days on the first stage (including day 1 !) I was blessed with good weather and health.
Now looking to the next adventure.Maybe the GR 10 if I can arrange the time…..
    Best wishes
    Andrew

  3. Look forward to reading it – is it possible to buy as a pdf file for those of us that don’t use kindles etc

    Best wishes

    Martin

  4. Good work Antti,
I have read the Finnish version of the book and really enjoyed it. Hopefully we will see more books / guides coming in near future. One tip for the readers is to follow Anttis blog posts per day when you are reading the book to see the pictures that gives good understanding about the scenery.
